With adult grizzly bears needing upwards of 700 km² (or 270 sq mi.), the Khutzeymateen Park & Conservancy is large enough to provide a home range for roughly 60 grizzly bears, perhaps the largest known concentration of grizzly bears on the entire British Columbia coast. From exploring the rock studded outer islands where Steller sea lions display their full vocal range, to the intimate, winding estuary paths setting the stage for a grizzly bear spectacular, the Khutzeymateen is a hidden gem of the north coast.
